What's the Ruckus?

In the past year or so, my looming middle aged-ness has truly set in.  I'm not the target demographic anymore.  That was pretty much the only thing that kept me up on what was going on in the popular world.  My musical tastes haven't really lined up with popular music for a few decades anyways, so now I'm embracing being incredibly unhip.  Not that I haven't been for ages, but it's finally time to own it.  I don't know most current artists.  I buy cd's.  When you look at my record store purchases, they show old man tastes.  I'm ok with this.  And this little corner of the big internet is for my random musings.  My assumption is that no one will ever read this, and I'm more than ok with that.  From time to time, I'll throw up some thoughts on what I'm listening to.  Maybe it will be a song or an album, or maybe I'll talk about a whole genre.  It's just going to be whatever pops into my head.  And in the end, none of it matters anyway, which is oddly freeing.  I'm just another guy sharing uncalled for opinions on the internet.  That might actually put me back in step with the rest of popular culture, but I'll risk it.  And now, on with the show!
